2023 COE 1st Place Farm: The Best High-Grown Geisha in 7 Years

We have been relentlessly chasing this coffee since we first tasted its 2023 crop—which famously took 1st Place at the 2023 Cup of Excellence. This year, our patience finally paid off, and we successfully secured a stunning, yet extremely limited, lot from Duberney Cifuentes at Finca Montreal.

This is the quintessential "Super High-Grown" Geisha. The extreme altitude translates into a cup profile of extraordinary clarity, intense aromatics, and a breathtakingly elegant acidity.

In the cup, it is ultra transparent, delivering crystal clear flavors that perfectly showcase its meticulous cultivation. Beautiful jasmine florals intertwine with a vibrant muscat sweetness throughout the entire experience, all elegantly supported by a round and bright mandarin orange body.

We can confidently say this is the absolute best non-Panama Geisha we have encountered in the last 7 years. It is a true masterpiece of terroir and careful cultivation.
