SL9 - Washed
Peru – Another SL9 from 2100masl
We are incredibly proud to introduce another extraordinary SL9 lot to our lineup. Representing the forefront of Peruvian specialty coffee, SL9 is a rare and emerging varietal that delivers an exceptional sensory experience. Long considered a natural Geisha mutation and previously celebrated under the moniker "Inca Geisha," this varietal showcases a vibrant acidity and a profoundly complex flavor profile.
Exceptionally Bold Flavors
We are fortunate to offer two distinct expressions of the SL9 varietal this season. While our Isaac Flores lot beautifully highlights a more tropical-forward profile, this new SL9 lot takes a distinctly different path. It leans intensely into its Geisha-like genetics, offering a remarkably bold and fruit-forward structure.
What makes this lot truly unprecedented is its flavor clarity. Finding such intensely vibrant, Haribo peach-like sweetness in a fully washed process is exceptionally rare, making this a standout cup that defies expectations.
In the Cup:
Expect an intensely sweet and floral cup, characterized by:
HARIBO Peach: A bold, mouthwatering sweetness reminiscent of Haribo peach gummies—a profound rarity for a washed coffee.
Jasmine Blossom: Elegant, lingering white floral aromatics.
Lemon Drop Sweetness: A bright, syrupy citrus note akin to the highly sought-after Ethiopian 74158 varietal lots.

Degassing notice
We recommend degassing this coffee for at least 35 days, up to 70. Our coffees often peak around 45 days and 60 days post-roast and are best enjoyed from then until the 90 day mark.
Our omniroast style leads to abnormally long degassing times, but just trust us, once your coffee is degassed properly, you're in for a treat.
*Please make sure not to vacuum or freeze the coffees while it's degassed enough.
